Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

  • Arrive in Delhi: Depending on your arrival time, you can spend the day sightseeing or resting.
  • Sightseeing in Delhi (Optional): Visit popular landmarks like the Red Fort, India Gate, Qutub Minar, or Lotus Temple.
  • Overnight in Delhi.

Day 2: Delhi to Shimla

  • Morning: Depart from Delhi by train or private vehicle to Shimla (approx. 7-8 hours by road). Alternatively, you can take a flight to Chandigarh and then a 3-hour drive to Shimla.
  • Evening: Arrive in Shimla and check-in at your hotel.
  • Evening stroll on Mall Road: Enjoy the local shops, cafes, and the Ridge area.
  • Overnight in Shimla.

Day 3: Shimla Sightseeing

  • Morning: Visit the famous Jakhoo Temple, Christ Church, and Kali Bari Temple.
  • Afternoon: Head to Kufri (a short drive from Shimla) for activities like horse riding, sledging, and enjoying the view from the Fagu area.
  • Evening: Take a relaxed walk around Mall Road or visit Lakkar Bazaar for souvenirs.
  • Overnight in Shimla.

Day 4: Shimla to Manali

  • Morning: After breakfast, drive to Manali (approx. 7-8 hours by road). The scenic journey along the Beas River is beautiful.
  • Evening: Arrive in Manali, check-in to your hotel, and relax.
  • Overnight in Manali.

Day 5: Manali Sightseeing

  • Morning: Visit the Hadimba Temple, set amidst cedar forests.
  • Afternoon: Explore the Manu Temple, and Vashisht Hot Springs.
  • Evening: Stroll around Mall Road, visit Old Manali, and enjoy the local cafes and markets.
  • Overnight in Manali.

Day 6: Solang Valley and Rohtang Pass (if open)

  • Morning: Visit Solang Valley, where you can enjoy paragliding, skiing, and snow activities depending on the season.
  • Afternoon: If the Rohtang Pass is open (usually from May to October), drive to this scenic spot to enjoy views of glaciers and snow.
  • Evening: Return to Manali for a relaxing evening.
  • Overnight in Manali.

Day 7: Manali to Delhi

  • Morning: If time allows, you can visit the Naggar Castle or Roerich Art Gallery for a bit of culture.
  • Afternoon: Depart for Delhi (approx. 12-14 hours by road). Alternatively, you can book a flight from Kullu Airport to Delhi (1-hour flight).
  • Evening: Arrive back in Delhi for your onward journey.

Optional Adjustments:

  • Extra day in Shimla: You can add a day in Shimla for a more relaxed exploration, including a visit to Chail or Naldehra for golf and nature.
  • Extra day in Manali: You can extend your stay in Manali to visit Keylong, Leh, or go on longer treks.

Tips:

  1. Travel time: The road journeys between Delhi, Shimla, and Manali are long, so prepare for some tiring travel days.
  2. Weather: Check the weather conditions, especially if you're planning to visit Rohtang Pass or indulge in snow activities. The months from May to October are ideal for snow activities, while December to March is great for skiing in Solang.
  3. Altitude: Both Shimla and Manali are at high altitudes, so it's important to stay hydrated and take it easy for the first day to acclimatize.
